Shelly as a three-year-old (1999)
Shelly died on May 21, 2003. She is greatly missed in our lives. It is hard to look out in the pasture and not see her wonderful presence. Shelly was GCH of the 2002 Hoosier Classic. Shelly was Rachael's showmanship doe, and they won the Champion of champions showmanship at the Indiana State Fair, and they won the Hoosier Classic Sr. Showmanship class in 1999 and 2000. Shelly and Rachael did not participate in the 2001 Hoosier Classic because Shelly was still recovering from a poisoning earlier in the year. She was greatly missed especially at the national showmanship competition. Rachael does not have Shelly here on this earth but Shelly still is living on through her daughters. Shelly had a wonderful personality inside and outside the ring. Shelly is pictured here after our win at the State fair as a five-year old fifth freshener. She was a very large upstanding doe with a lovely udder. Her fore-udder is extended with beautiful blending. Shelly’s udder gave Sanstorm an exquisite complement. She was Grand Champion over all at our county fair in 1999 and 2000, and Reserve Grand Champion at the 1999 and 2001 Indiana State 4H fair. Shelly was GCH at the 2002 Hoosier Classic. Shelly appraised VVVV FS 88. Shelly’s three daughters which are in our herd have all finished their championships, Sylvia, Saphire, and Sugar. They consistently freshen with nice udders and Shelly’s personality.
